Borussia Dortmund have an incredible record when it comes to developing players and turning them into superstars. Some of the names that the German club have developed in recent years include Robert Lewandowski, Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho, and there are several more examples that one can cite. And now, it looks like the club have set their eyes on a Real Madrid wonderkid.

Real Madrid might have been incredibly successful over the past decade but one thing that they have not been very successful in doing is finding ways for their youth stars to be first-team starters.

One of the most highly rated players in the Real Madrid developmental ranks right now is Nico Paz and it looks like he is drawing the interest of teams in Spain and beyond.

As reported by Defensa Central (via sport.de), Borussia Dortmund is interested in Paz. They are considering signing the 18-year-old in the summer. In Real Valladolid and Getafe, however, there are also two interested parties from La Liga who would like to sign him on loan from Real Madrid.

Paz is without doubt one of the most highly rated young talents at Real Madrid right now. The attacking midfielder has scored five goals in five UEFA Youth League games this season, catching the attention of clubs around Europe.

One would hope that Real Madrid do not let Paz go before giving him a proper chance in the senior team, like they have done with so many talents in the past, who have gone on to have great careers elsewhere.

On the other hand though, it is not hard to understand why not many youth stars are able to break into the first-team setup at Santiago Bernabeu, considering the competition for places and the pressure that comes with playing for a club of this magnitude.
