When their keeper sings them a lullaby, two depressed orphaned 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 elephants who cry won’t stop and won’t be able to fall asleep.

The anguish of the two newly abandoned elephants was understandable. Elephants are sociable, intelligent and highly sensitive animals, so losing their mother was upsetting. They were able to relax and find much-needed calm thanks to a lullaby and a good person who knows the value of compassion.

These little orphans lived in the Elephant Nature Park near Chiang Mai in the north of Tʜᴀɪʟᴀɴᴅ. In addition to helping other species, it is a rescue and rehabilitation facility for animals, mainly elephants. In addition, the preservation of the environment and educational extension are objectives.

Sangdeaun Lek Chailert, who established the institution, is the one who calms the elephants. Lek grew up in a rural community two hours north of Chiang Mai, where he gained experience caring for animals. As a traditional healer, his grandfather would occasionally receive sɪᴄᴋ or ʜᴜʀᴛ animals from his patients. He begged her to help them.

Since then, Lek has dedicated a significant part of his life to protecting elephants and other animals, earning the admiration and respect of people around the world.

Lek transforms a very soft rendition of “Que Sera, Sera” into the perfect lullaby for elephants. She comforts one of the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 elephants, and in return the trunk smiles at her. The second transitions into the first before collapsing to the ground and falling asleep. Lek emphasizes the need for the elephants’ mental well-being at the same time that she stresses the value of giving them food, water and medical care.
