Superstar told to reject Liverpool and join Real Madrid

Liverpool and Real Madrid have had a bit of a rivalry in recent years. The clubs have contested two Champions League finals, with Los Blancos coming out on top on both occasions. This time around, they will be facing each other in a blockbuster round of 16 tie as well. On the other hand, their rivalry extends to the transfer market as well, with both European giants having similar targets.

The latest player that both Real Madrid and Liverpool are after is Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund.

The Englishman is arguably the most in-demand talent in all of football right now. At 19 years of age, he is already one of the best midfielders on the planet, has captained a historic team like Borussia Dortmund and was a shining light for England at the World Cup.

Which club should Bellingham choose though? As reported by BBC, former West Ham midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker said on the Football Daily Podcast on BBC Sounds:

“If you were Jude Bellingham, would you go to Liverpool right now with what you currently see?

“You look at the other suitors – if I was Bellingham, I would go to Real Madrid. I would look at what Real Madrid are doing, what they are building, what they’ve got there, the young talent and what can be achieved, and I would go there.

“I would not go to Liverpool.”

Superstar told to pick move to Real Madrid over Liverpool

Real Madrid are the reigning Champions League winners and on top of that, the club seem to be building the most exciting project in world football as well. Los Blancos have youngsters like Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and several others in their ranks.

Thus, this is a team that could go on to dominate European football for the next decade or so, especially if they are able to add someone like Bellingham to the mix.

Liverpool have been great in recent years as well but a lot of that has been down to the sheer brilliance of a coach like Jurgen Klopp. Also, we have seen them slip up quite a bit this season following the exit of Sadio Mane.

Of course, a lot of other factors go into a transfer as well but recent rumours have suggested that Real Madrid are the ones leading the race to sign Bellingham.
